Direct Service Worker Grant

FSSA is issuing Byron Health Center funding to support our direct service workforce for our Assisted Living staff members. We plan to use the funding in the following 3 ways to invest in our DSWs:

1. A 10% Bonus on gross wages each pay. As long as the staff member comes to work as scheduled, they will receive an additional 10% bonus on their gross wages each day. We will dedicate 80% of the grant amount towards this activity. This will start immediately. Employees can expect to receive the funding through their payroll check.

2. One time bonus: To provide additional support to our workforce, we plan to issue a larger bonus in July 2023. We will dedicate 16% of the grant amount towards this activity. Employees can expect to receive the funding through their payroll check.

3. We will purchase new commercial grade washers that will assist staff in being more effective with laundering resident clothing. We will dedicate the remaining 4% of the grant amount towards this activity.

Timing wise, our goal is to use the funding as soon as possible so that we can provide immediate funding to support our workforce. We are aiming to spend all funding by July 2023. Please reach out to Audra Guy, CFO with any question regarding how the funds will be spent.
