The Longest Day for Alzheimer’s

byronhealth2018Charity Partners

Several of our residents and staff here within our Byron Health Center family are very familiar with Alzheimer’s, so we decided to make a difference!

Byron Health Center residents and team members reached a fundraising goal and Director of Marketing & Public Relations John Drebenstedt shaved his head!  $3,000 was raised for the Alzheimer’s Association for The Longest Day.  John allowed team members, and his wife Heather, to take a turn with the clippers, shaving his head on Friday, June 21st, in the Eakin Family Room.

“Well, the public has spoken, and I’ll gladly oblige!” stated Drebenstedt.  “I’m proud of our team for reaching our fundraising goal of $3,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association.  Now I’ll have a summer haircut just in time for summer to arrive on The Longest Day.”

No one is more happy than John’s wonderful wife, Heather, who matched each donation dollar for dollar up to $1,500.  She seemed to really want John to get his hair cut.
