Everyone Wins at Byron’s Got Talent
Special Recognition Awarded in Four Performance Categories at 5th Annual Byron Health Center Talent Show
Byron Health Center showcased the talents of residents and staff during the 5th annual Byron’s Got Talent event last Sunday, March 25th, in the Eakin Family Room at Byron Health Center, 12101 Lima Rd on the north side of Fort Wayne. Fourteen different acts performed for a crowd of over 100 people. Performances ranged from singing, dancing to even poetry. The event featured both group and solo acts by residents and team members. The two-hour event was hosted by Fort Wayne’s very own Jack Hammer, Executive Director of the Three Rivers Festival. As a lifelong MC, entertainer and musician, Hammer has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in Rock & Roll.
Participating acts were assessed on performance, presentation, production and originality by several celebrity judges including WANE TV Chief Meteorologist Nicholas Ferreri, Fort Wayne CW Station Manager Barb Richards and Francine’s Friends’ Marita Dwight-Smith as well as a ‘super-secret’ Byron Health Center staff judge: Audra Guy. Performers competed for special recognition and an individual trophy, in one of four performance categories including Most Entertaining Solo Act, Most Entertaining group Act, Most Original Act and Audience Choice Act. All acts received trophies of participation and were considered winners by everyone who attended the event
